Pantry Pic, the global AI-powered “photo to recipe” app, has launched a Christmas Leftovers Challenge to help households around the world transform post-holiday fridge chaos into fresh, money-saving meals instead of food waste.

With Pantry Pic, users simply snap a photo of their fridge, pantry or leftovers and instantly receive personalised recipe suggestions based on the ingredients they already have at home.

“Food waste always spikes after the holidays. There are leftover meats, untouched vegetables, salads and desserts that often end up in the bin,” said Pantry Pic founder, Dylan Westbury. “We built Pantry Pic to help people reduce waste, save money by cooking with what they’ve already got – and this festive season is the perfect time to put the app to use”

Key features include:
• AI ingredient detection from a single photo of your fridge, pantry or leftovers
• Instant recipe ideas tailored to what you already have at home
• Smart shopping lists for any missing ingredients

As part of the Christmas Leftovers Challenge, Pantry Pic is encouraging users to scan their leftover plates, trays and containers, share what they cooked using the app and inspire others to make the most of their food instead of throwing it away.

The app is available globally and offers a free trial, with the option to upgrade to Pantry Pic Pro for unlimited recipes.

Pantry Pic can be downloaded now on the App Store and Google Play. For more information, visit pantrypic.com
