A scan is one piece of work Pantry Pic does for you. Each of these uses one: - Reading the ingredients in a photo of your fridge, pantry or a receipt - Turning those ingredients into recipes - Snapping a finished dish to get its recipe - Importing a recipe from a link, a photo or pasted text So a full fridge photo to recipes run uses 2 scans. Asking for recipes from a craving or from your ingredient list uses 1, and loading more recipes for the same ingredients uses another.

Yes. You get 4 scans every month, and the rest of the app is not paywalled. Your cookbook, meal planner, shopping lists, ratings and sharing are all included.

Unlimited scans, so you never count them again. Pro also adds 5 Recipe Pictures a month, receipts forwarded by email, ingredient substitutions, advanced filters on your saved recipes and up to 9 photos in a single scan instead of 4.

Yes. Subscriptions are managed by the App Store / Google Play. You can cancel anytime, and access continues until the end of the current billing period.

It depends how you send it. Photographing a receipt in the app works like a fridge photo, so reading it and then generating recipes uses 2 scans. Forwarding a receipt to your Pantry Pic email address is a Pro feature, and those do not use your monthly scans at all, up to 10 a day.

Yes. The Pro screen in the app shows the monthly and yearly plans. Tap View More Options to see Lifetime, a one-time purchase.

Your scans reset at the start of each month. Everything you have already saved stays where it is, and you can keep using your cookbook, meal planner and shopping lists in the meantime.

Create Picture adds a picture of the finished dish to a saved recipe. Pro and Lifetime include 5 a month, and the free plan has none. You can also buy a pack of 20. Pack pictures never expire, and a pack does not unlock Pro.
